Top 5 Books of 2010

There were so many good reads in 2010, I had to cheat and include an entire series as one entry in my Top 5 list. This list is not based on bookstore bestsellers or new releases, but what I read and enjoyed most last year. Have you read any of these? What did you think?

1. Soulless; Changeless; Blameless; Gail Carriger (Orbit/Hachette, 2009-2010)
2. The Shadow of the Wind, Carlos Ruiz Zafon (Penguin, 2005, translated from Spanish)
3. The Elegance of the Hedgehog, Muriel Barbary (Gallic Books, 2008, translated from French)
4. Sarah's Key, Tatiana de Rosnay (John Murray, 2008)
5. The Heir, Grace Burrowes (Amazon Kindle, 2010)

I've not read any; of course, I'm just poorly read these days in anything except the random sci-fi/fantasy novel that I pick up to give my mind enjoyment or technical documents. :) I have so little time for anything else, unfortunately.

But...I like the titles, they intrigue me. (isn't that sad?)

Nathan, I'm currently reading The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, and recently finished The Windup Girl by Paolo Bacigalupi. You might enjoy those for a fantasy and futuristic novel, respectively.
I love when a book has a memorable cover and title :)

Sadly, with my Kindle, I don't always get to see the cover. I have a harder time remembering the author and title of what I'm reading - all I see are words! I hear the next upgrade will include page #s (currently it tells you the percentage read). I only see the title of the book when I press Menu while I'm reading. I love my Kindle but some things take getting used to.

I can't say that I have read any of these--I hope your reviews include a little bit about what they are about.
